JAS KNIGHT:
THE ARTIST’S TRICHROMATIC THEORY WITH PORTRAIT PAINTING
3 Day Workshop
September 24-26, 2021
10-5:30p
This 3 day (in person) portrait painting workshop will address the full range of drawing and coloristic issues as they relate to the art of painted portraiture. Using a variety of live models, students will be introduced to practical color theory for painters. Based on his book of the same name and through live demonstrations, lectures and one on one critique, students will gain confidence with color perception to paint more accurate portraits. This workshop is appropriate for both the neophyte and the artist of some experience.
We are looking forward to offering our first “in person” workshop since the pandemic began last March. We will follow all current CDC and North Carolina State Health recommendations at the time of the workshop. Masks *may be required. By registering, you agree to wear a mask at all times while indoors, if that is the current health recommendation. An email with all current safety and heath guidelines will be sent closer to the event. At the time of this writing, indoor mask mandates for people who have been fully vaccinated have been lifted. It is still recommended for those not vaccinated or with compromised immune systems to continue to use masks while indoors. We have a large 2000 square foot, high ceiling, open space with brand new HVAC and filter system. Please email with any questions or concerns.
