MATERIALS LIST:

Oil Paints:

  • Titanium white (large tube) Winsor Newton or Gamblin
  • Winsor Yellow (Winsor Newton)
  • Ultramarine Blue (Winsor Newton or Gamblin)
  • Raw Umber (Gamblin)
  • Transparent Oxide Red also called Transparent Earth Red (Gamblin)

Brushes

  • An assortment. Try hog bristles and synthetic blend brushes in the following shapes and sizes
    Filbert: 2, 4, 6, 8
    Flat: 2, 4, 6, 8

Canvas Boards, Panels, or Canvas Paper:

  • 12    9” x 12”
  • 4 12” x 16”
  • Palette (clean, flat wooden or melamine which is easy to clean)
  • Steel palette knife (3” trowel shape)
  • Gamsol (please note, AFAS will provide Gamsol for anyone flying in from out of town, please do not try to fly with this volatile solvent).
  • Non-glass container for your solvent
  • Paper towels or rags
  • Pocket mirror

  • Hat or visor is recommended
  • The Masters Brush Cleaner & Preserver
  • Small container of linseed or walnut oil
