This now framed oil on copper painting of an anglepod which found while on a hike right here in North Carolina, was painted in February. Anglepods are in the milkweed family and are an important food source for butterflies, bees and other pollinators and insects. It is hard not to fall in love with their twisting angular forms as well. This painting is part of the Off the Shelf Sale.
