3 Day workshop
March 29 -31, 2018
10a – 5:30p
*SOLD OUT email info@alia-fineart.com to be placed on waitlist.
In this three day workshop we’ll explore portrait drawing through a linear and mass oriented approach. Beginning with an understanding of the structural scaffolding that supports the construction of the head and moving to an abstract comprehension of the visual experience. Primarily using graphite, we will discuss visual narrative, translating a particular mood of the sitter, and hierarchy of information.
This workshop will focus on one long pose and will be accompanied by daily demonstrations to illustrate every stage, guide the student though the process and to explain how to maximize the use of the materials.
