PORTRAIT SERIES- FUNDAMENTALS OF PORTRAIT DRAWING II- TONE

Tuition: $150 + $40 model fee

This Portrait Series continues with more fundamental drawing exercises in Tone or Value. You will learn to understand the the properties of light and how it affects our perception of the human head. Getting accurate values is imperative for a good representational drawing or painting. This is the next step towards painting the portrait with confidence and accuracy. Several methods in drawing in value will be explored.

Working from the live model, you will develop a deep understanding of the human head. We will continue to examine proper proportions, structure and basic anatomy as well as use multiple drawing and painting techniques to represent the portrait. This class series will strengthen your ability and understanding of the human head whether you are an absolute beginner or an advanced student. This monthly class, we have the opportunity to work from two models posing therefore the class is limited to 14 students.
