FUNDAMENTALS OF PORTRAIT DRAWING I – LINE

This Portrait Series will start with fundamental drawing exercises which will build each month toward painting the portrait with confidence and accuracy. Working from the live model, you will develop a deep understanding of the human head. This first month we will focus on representing the head with drawing in line. An in depth lecture on each individual feature will expand your understanding of the forms we see on the face.We will also examine proper proportions, structure and basic anatomy as well as use multiple drawing and painting techniques to represent the portrait. This class series will strengthen your ability and understanding of the human head whether you are an absolute beginner or an advanced student.
This month’s class we will have two models posing each night, therefore the class is limited to 14 students.
